Climate Reality Europe's 2022 Highlights

Updated: Dec 30, 2022

2022 End-of-the-Year Climate Reality Europe meet-up, December 20, 2022

As 2022 is coming to an end, we have taken some time to reflect on the past 12 months. This year we have organized over 30 events aimed at raising awareness of climate solutions, strengthening local communities, and providing support to climate activists within the Climate Reality Leaders network in Europe and beyond.

We held discussions with local, national, and European Commission officials to advocate for creating a fossil-free, fair and just future. Moreover, we contributed to the European Union-level consultations to highlight the risks of slowing down the energy transition, as well as highlight the importance of climate justice aspects of the change.

Nearly 4,000 people participated in our activities and our communications channels had almost 300,000 impressions and 15,000 interactions, while our followership base grew to over 16,000 individuals.

We have identified the key strategic areas for Climate Reality Europe with the goal to build expertise, develop resources, and create climate action opportunities for our 4,000 Climate Reality Leaders community in Europe.

What were the highlights of this year? We have asked the Climate Reality Europe Team to pick their top 3 activities of this year - check the list here & access the link to corresponding resources.
