Role: Regional Organizer (RO)
Commitment: 8 hours/week (32 hours/month)
Compensation: Monthly stipend (freelance/contract basis – the applicant must be able to issue an invoice within the EU)
We're looking for Regional Organizers for the following regions:

Northern Europe – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and United Kingdom

Southern Europe – Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain and Turkey

Western Europe – Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Switzerland

Central & Eastern Europe - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia
About the opportunity
The Regional Organizer is a compensated volunteer role that will play a crucial part in strengthening the Climate Hubs, a new city-based engagement program of The Climate Reality Project Europe. Working closely with the Engagement Manager of the Climate Reality Europe Branch, the RO will be the primary contact for Climate Hubs and Climate Reality Leaders in their designated region, ensuring smooth onboarding, fostering cross-national and cross-Hubs collaboration, and monitoring Climate Reality Climate Hubs' activities in their respective region.
Responsibilities

Support the onboarding process for the Climate Hubs.

Act as the main point of contact for Climate Hubs in the assigned region, addressing challenges and fostering engagement.

Monitor engagement levels and report success stories to the Engagement Manager.

Encourage networking and best practice sharing among the new engagement program.

Identify cross-national collaboration opportunities for climate action.

Support regional capacity-building and training efforts.

Help shape strategies for local and regional climate activism.

Maintain clear and regular communication with the Engagement Manager and other ROs.

Provide insights on regional climate policy, social justice issues, and geopolitical contexts.
What we're looking for in a Regional Organizer:

Experience in community organizing, movement building, or grassroots activism.

Strong facilitation and networking skills, with the ability to connect local efforts to broader regional strategies.

Fluency in English and at least one additional language from the assigned region.

Ability to work independently and engage with volunteers & activists across different cultural contexts.

Understanding of climate policy, social justice, and regional geopolitical contexts.

Must be able to issue invoices internationally/within the EU (for example, have a freelancer status).
